Biking, especially fast, has a risk of wrecking. Wrecks happen. BikeWarsTM is not a magic potion that will suddenly stop wrecks. But, to maximize safety and reduce your your risk of wrecking, you need to read our safety information and read & sign our waiver. Minors need parental consent. The game is currently only open to those 16 and up. Later versions may allow Riders aged 13-15, but perhaps will require an adult playing with them.
The 3 most important rules are: 1) STOP AT STOP SIGNS, 2) NO ALLEYS, 3) DO NOT PLAY IN CONGESTED AREAS. Rules 1 & 2 prevent you from getting hit by moving cross traffic. If you roll a stop sign (especially a 2-way stop sign) or exit an alley moving fast, moving cross-traffic may not see you and could hit you. Rule 3 is a no-brainer, but bear in mind: areas with traffic lights or multiple lanes going each direction by definition have congestion… so do not play in these areas. Perhaps future Apple Maps technology will allow the game to penalize players who violate these rules. But for now: play safe, don’t cheat. Instead, work on that 0-20mph time! Because at stop signs, you have to stop & go faster then the hunters do… or else.
